This publication analyses the project for the Chapel on the Road to Santiago by tackling the subject starting from a detailed review of the situation of architecture in the mid-20th century, to then focus on the influence of this period on the artists and project in question, which is acknowledged to be the most important example of Mies van der Rohe’s style in Spanish architecture. It also analyses the very few documents that the artists bequeathed, almost all of which has been included in the National Architecture Review, and then reconstructs the project, that was never actually built, even though it won the National Architecture Prize.
